EDR: detection and response on servers and workstations

EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) goes beyond antivirus: it tracks process behaviour, network connections, file changes and access attempts, detects attacks in progress and responds automatically or on command. The SyX-RAY agent is lightweight, runs on Linux servers and Windows workstations and sends alerts to the same SOC that monitors the rest of your infrastructure.

What it detects

Ransomware in its encryption phase, web shells and backdoors, privilege escalation, brute force on SSH/RDP/admin panels, cryptocurrency miners, data exfiltration, processes that should not exist and changes to critical files. Suspicious files are checked with YARA rules and VirusTotal.

How it responds

SyX-RAY combines a continuous monitoring platform with a Romania-based team that interprets the alerts. On detection the agent can block the source IP, kill the process, isolate the system and preserve evidence; the team confirms and guides you through remediation. Every finding comes with impact, evidence and remediation steps, not just a technical score.

Who it is for

Companies with on-premise or cloud servers, online stores, clinics, offices with Windows workstations, IT service providers that want protection for their clients under one console.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use SyX-RAY EDR together with my existing antivirus?

Yes. The agent runs alongside any antivirus and covers what the antivirus does not see: behaviour, network, leaked credentials and correlation with external threats.

Does the agent slow down the server?

Not noticeably. It is designed for production servers with low CPU and memory usage, and intensive scans are scheduled outside peak hours.

How fast do I see the first results?

Passive reconnaissance and CVE alerts start the same day you add your domains. The EDR agent installs in minutes on each system and threat-intelligence monitoring runs continuously.

Do I need to stop or change my existing systems?

No. The initial assessment is passive and the EDR agent runs alongside your existing antivirus. Active testing only happens with your written approval, inside an agreed window.
